Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
The process of upgrading an item, often known as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts the stats linearly.
Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling a piece of equipment increases depending on their rarity and level.
Upgrade components
An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be achieved through many different methods such as using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. Many items can also be reforged in order to increase their stats.
There are items that can be upgraded throughout the game. They are available in the world as well as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. Upgrade components are the most common method to upgrade equipment. These are items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment has slots for upgrading and some require a certain level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses while others give general bonuses.
There are many types of upgrade components available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, are able to be used in any type of equipment and offer fewer bonuses than those that are type specific. Glyphs can only be placed in gathering tools and offer various bonuses, from increasing the speed of the item's collection to providing extra crafting materials.
Choose the item from your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The preview will appear on the right side of the screen. It will display the expected statistics after the upgrade. The Upgrade button at the bottom will be labeled as Blocked if you don't have enough of either.
The upper-right side of the screen shows the number of upgrade components needed for an item. The cost of an upgrade increases depending on the rarity and level of the item increases. However you can lower the cost of upgrades by purchasing them from a vendor, or trading them with other players.
Many weapons can be improved with a prefix, such as a rune or an insignia, and others can be upgraded by adding the suffix. These upgrades alter the name of the item and add an adjective, like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor. There are some exceptions, however. the non-inscribable weapons, such as shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, that cannot be upgraded using any kinds of mods in any way.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a powerful tool for communicating visual information. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewer and stimulate interest in the brain. The animation of glyphs mimics body language, making them even more effective in communicating messages across language barriers. Glyphs also improve the retention of a message by evoking a familiarity in the brain.
Each glyph increases a stat's value by a specific amount. This is clearly displayed on the item when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is not the actual amount by the glyph can increase the stat, but rather the maximum amount it is able to do so. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier as well as the quality of the item you are in awe of.
The majority of upgrade components that are slotted into items cannot be repaired or replaced without dismantling the gear in question, except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If you do have a rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your gear, you can move it to a different piece of equipment by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu on the Glyphs panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.
You can take out a glyph by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is installed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved with the glyph shards.

Reroll tokens

Items that have been rerolled do not appear in the upgrade menu, however they still qualify to receive upgrades. These rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to recycle. The level gauge is boosted by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level, therefore higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.
In addition to tokens for rerolls players can also make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to reroll the traits of a weapon in an upgraded unit. Leveling
